T0 help mark their first season as main sponsor of Celtic, Magners has thrown its backing behind Celtic Charity by vowing to donate £150 for every goal that Celtic score during the 2013/14 season.
As part of a number of initiatives planned by Magners to support the club and fans this season, this pledge will see Magners make a significant donation to the Charity if the Hoops can maintain their goal-scoring form of last season.
With every goal counting, the initiative will not only be of huge benefit to Celtic Charity but also act as extra incentive for the team and fans to push for more goals, no matter the score.
Paul Condron, Marketing Director for Magners, said: “At Magners, we want to show our support for the club at all levels through our new sponsorship – from the team and fans to the good work of Celtic Charity.
‘Our Goals for Charity initiative will not only provide a financial boost for the Charity at the end of the season but also help to unite both players and fans alike in trying to raise as much money as possible for the worthy causes aided by Celtic Charity.”
Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic Charity, added: “This is fantastic generosity again from Magners. The work Celtic Charity is doing in the local community and further afield will benefit greatly from this.
‘We are delighted with this venture from Magners and we are looking forward to a record-breaking goal scoring season from Neil Lennon’s team.”
