Jock Stein Charity Shirts up for auction

CELTIC FC Foundation and The Pars Foundation would like to thank supporters for so magnificently getting behind the duo of Jock Stein 30th Anniversary Charity events – sponsored by Direct Slating Supplies – on Sunday, September 6, 2015.

Fans of both clubs – Dunfermline and Celtic – numbered just under 5,000 for the Legends’ Charity Match at East End Park in the afternoon and the subsequent Charity Dinner in the evening was sold out well in advance.

It was a sensational effort in tribute to the legend of all legends, Mr Jock Stein.

We are now auctioning the signed, match issue shirts for each player who took part in the Match, giving supporters the opportunity to own a very unique piece of football memorabilia HERE.

The auction will close at around 5pm on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Proceeds from the match, dinner and shirt auction will be split equally between Celtic FC Foundation and The Pars Foundation, the respective charitable arms of both clubs and the total raised will be confirmed at some point next week.

The Pars Foundation have earmarked a range of local community projects across the Fife Region.

Celtic FC Foundation’s share will be devoted to assisting those affected by the current refugee crisis, in partnership with The British Red Cross in Glasgow and, in particular, its Europe Refugee Crisis Appeal.

Desperate families have no choice but to risk their lives to flee war and persecution. They urgently need our help. Shocking images in the media over the last few days show desperate scenes of families who have lost their loved ones. Families on a terrifying journey in search of safety. They need food, water and medical care.

The Europe Refugee Crisis Appeal will support refugees and communities affected by the crisis across Europe, in neighbouring countries and the UK.

And there’s still time to donate online to get behind Celtic FC Foundation’s partnership with the British Red Cross in Glasgow HERE

Thank you for your wonderful support.
