Foundation launch joint venture with St Andrew’s Hospice

Celtic FC Foundation and St Andrew’s Hospice are delighted to announce a new joint fundraising event, the Clover and Dove Ball.

Sponsored by Wallace Quinn & Co, the inaugural Clover and Dove Ball will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Glasgow City Hotel (formerly Thistle Glasgow).

This is a new initiative from two charities with common goals – to help those most in need in our local communities. And Celtic legend, Tom Boyd, a long-time supporter of both Celtic FC Foundation and St Andrew’s Hospice, was at Celtic Park this afternoon to help launch the joint venture. (Pictured above with Sister Catherine from the Hospice)

The Clover and Dove Ball – for both couples and singles – will be hosted by Gerry McCulloch and Lisa Hague and is shaping up to be a beautiful, heart-warming occasion. It will include a delicious three-course meal, live music and dancing, auction, silent auction and raffle.

All funds raised will be shared equally between Celtic FC Foundation and the St Andrew’s Hospice Capital Appeal.

Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with St Andrew’s Hospice, a greatly-respected charity which provides an invaluable service to individuals and families at such a vulnerable time.

“We’ve never hosted a Ball until now so this is a very exciting venture for us and I have every faith that the supporters of Celtic FC Foundation and St Andrew’s Hospice will get behind it in great numbers, as they always do.”

Bruce High, CEO of St Andrew’s Hospice added: “It is a great opportunity for us to collaborate with Celtic FC Foundation. We’re already partnering with other charities who are supporting our Appeal to raise £9million to re-furbish our Hospice.

“Collaborating and partnering is relatively new to the charity sector. However, we have a history at St Andrew’s of being pioneering and innovative. We hope this venture will appeal to supporters of both charities and beyond to anyone who wishes to celebrate St Valentine’s weekend while raising money for two good causes.”

Tickets for the Ball are priced at £750 for a table of 10 or £75pp and are available now from:
