CELTIC FC Foundation is delighted to announce that Eden Mill St Andrews is the official tournament sponsor of our 2018 Golf Day.

Taking place on Friday, June 8, this annual event will once again be held at Renfrew Golf Club. Delivered in association with our Supporters’ Committee, the Golf Day has proven to be a hugely successful event since it kicked off back in 2015.

Eden Mill St Andrews – Scotland’s first single-site distillery and brewery, making gin, whisky and beer – is an official sponsor of Celtic Football Club and the team is based at ‘the home of golf’. Therefore, the opportunity to partner with Celtic FC Foundation on our annual Golf Day was a match made in heaven.

The day itself will see 22 teams compete for the coveted Celtic FC Foundation Golf Day trophy, with proceeds devoted to our award-winning Ability Counts project. Among those taking part as always, will be a team of ex-Celts, once again lead by Celtic legend and Club Ambassador, Tom Boyd.

The cost to enter a team of four is £400 and, as well as the golf, this also includes breakfast rolls, a fantastic three-course lunch, auction, prize draw and afternoon entertainment in the form of a Q&A session with the former Celts.

Courtesy of Eden Mill St Andrews, our golfers will be treated to a complimentary gin and tonic during their round, with a pop-up bar located at one of the holes on the course. After lunch, guests will also be given the opportunity to take part in a tasting session with an Eden Mill St Andrews Tasting Ambassador.

As always, demand for the 2018 event has been high, with a number of returning teams including last year’s winners, Tynemouth’s Green and White. There are now a very limited number of places remaining and these are available on a first come, first served basis.

Speaking of this exciting new partnership, Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton said: “This will be our fourth annual Golf Day, following on from the success of the past three years, and we are absolutely thrilled to be working with Eden Mill St Andrews for the 2018 event.

“The Golf Day has become a regular fixture in the Foundation’s fundraising calendar and is always eagerly anticipated but we believe that the introduction of a new tournament sponsor will add a new dimension to the event and provide an enhanced experience for our golfers.
