Celtic Supporters Integral to Helping Raise Funds

Celtic FC Foundation rely on the enormous generosity of supporters across the globe to help deliver change within our community and beyond.

Recently, Chief Executive Tony Hamilton was delighted to accept two fantastic donations on behalf of the Foundation towards the Christmas Appeal 2015 from Celtic Supporters.

Firstly, Tony accepted a donation of £450 from Andrew Milne, Editor of More than 90 Minutes Celtic Fanzine and Keith Russell, Manager of Malone’s Bar in Glasgow.  They hosted a charity fundraising event which saw supporters from across the city being treated to a charity night at Malone’s Bar on Friday, November 27. ‘The Day we Stopped the 10’ saw an evening of reminiscence with Tom Boyd hosting an engaging question and answer session. A bucket collection throughout the evening saw the fantastic amount of £450 being raised.

Given the success of the event, Andrew Mine and Malone’s Bar are organising a Frank McAvennie LIVE event on February 19, with proceeds of the night donated to Celtic FC Foundation.

Additionally, The Bhoys from Levenmouth CSC rallied together to organise a charity night in The Den Inn, Leven. With live music on the night helping sell over 100 tickets and bringing local Celtic supporter clubs together, a phenomenal £1100 was raised. All proceeds were donated to Celtic FC Foundation and the night was a great success with everyone in attendance digging deep.

Tony Hamilton said: “It’s fantastic that more and more supporters are getting involved in the work we’re doing at Celtic FC Foundation. I’d like to thank everyone who fundraises for us and who have taken an interest in what we’re trying to do. The Bhoys from Levenmouth, Malone’s and Andrew Milne from More Than 90 Minutes have been great.”
