Celtic players visit Yorkhill Children’s Hospital

THE Celtic first-team today visited Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow and delivered presents from the club. ;The players also presented a £3,000 donation to the Hospital as part of Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal.

Captain Scott Brown said: “We’re proud of the great association which the Club has with Yorkhill and as a team we are really pleased to make this special visit. ;

“It can be very hard for ;everyone in hospital and their families, particularly at Christmas time and we are ;delighted to take time out to go and see some very deserving kids. ; ; ; ;

“It is important we also thank the staff at the hospital for all they do. They make such a positive difference to the children and they deserve huge praise for the work they do throughout the year in providing such great care to the children.”

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “Celtic and Yorkhill Hospital have become close friends through a partnership which stretches back years. ; ; ;

“We are delighted to have such a close relationship with an institution which for so many years has done so much good in the city in looking after children in need. ;We wish all the children at the hospital and the magnificent staff, a very Merry Christmas.�€
