Celtic FC Foundation send Hoops tops around the world

CLUB shirt sponsor New Balance recently donated a significant number of club tops to Celtic FC Foundation for distribution to charities and areas of poverty outwith the UK and Ireland.

Celtic FC Foundation has been working with overseas charities and individuals to distribute these tops and we are delighted to share of some of the photos below.

There are many more tops being distributed to charities and communities in Haiti, Grenada and Kenya and these photos will appear on the above Facebook page in the coming weeks.

YES! Tanzania is a ‘Sport for Development’ capacity building NGO founded in 2010 and based in Scotland.

The mission of YES! Tanzania is to build the capacity of local organisations and leaders in Tanzania to enable them to provide sustainable opportunities for young people to participate in community sport activities designed to empower them to meet the challenges of poverty and disadvantage.

Foundation SANA is humanitarian foundation based in Norway and work to establish and conduct activities which promote contact and understanding between different groups, in line with the Foundation’s philosophy.

To date, Foundation SANA provides support to 16 refugee camps in Norway. It is those youngsters in the Norwegian camps who have benefited from the recent donation of tops organised by a local Glasgow businessman who has a contact at SANA.

Foundation SANA also has an international and innovative perspective linked to international assistance, reconciliation and conflict resolution.

Open Arms Malawi return, support and monitor immunised and fit toddlers to their relatives when they can, creating families and avoiding institutional care and in doing so enable communities to provide nutritious meals and nursery education to the orphans and vulnerable children within their community.

Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation, said: “I’m delighted to see these New Balance Celtic donated tops start to arrive and be distributed into these communities.

“I would like to thank all charities and individuals involved in the distribution of these tops, in particular to Ian Walker and his team at Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd in Livingston and of course Club kit manufacturers New Balance for this wonderful opportunity.”
