CELTIC FC Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of the first of our #LionsLegacy dementia care projects – as we link up with Edinburgh-based charity, the Eric Liddell Centre, to deliver a project with a difference.
Following a range of fundraising events across six wonderful days in May, honouring the 50th anniversary of Celtic’s 1967 European Cup victory, the #LionsLegacy campaign saw an incredible £2million raised – and Wednesday’s launch represents the first in a series of ground-breaking initiatives to support projects across the UK and beyond.
Titled ‘Liddell Lions Lunch Breaks’ and jointly aiding dementia care provision, this project will work with individuals living with the condition as well as their carers. ‘Liddell Lions Lunch Breaks’ operates on a simple, friendly and inclusive approach, prioritising responsive and engaging activities for both carers, and people living with early to mid-stages of dementia.
