Neil Lennon and the first-team squad have been a phenomenal support in previous years and players who have taken to the charity catwalk in the past include Joe Ledley, Adam Matthews, Anthony Stokes and Charlie Mulgrew. As first team names are confirmed for this year’s event, we will keep you updated through the Celtic website, facebook and twitter feeds.

As it stands, two former Celtic players have already pledged their support – John Kennedy and Bobby Petta – and they will be joined on the catwalk by Scottish actors Garry Sweeney (currently playing Gabriel Brodie in River City) and Paul Brannigan (best known for his role as Robbie in Angel’s Share, for which he won ‘best actor’ at the 2012 BAFTA Scotland Awards).

The ladies appearing on the 2013 catwalk include the partners of some current Celtic stars.

Celtic FC Foundation is also receiving invaluable support from members of our Event Team, including Helen Sweeney (Sweeney Brooks), Carroll Kelly (Progrez), Mary McGowne (The Vine PR and Events) and John McLaughlin.

The main beneficiary of Celtic Charity Wonderland will be CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland), a charity that provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people who have life-shortening conditions for which there is no known cure.

CHAS runs two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, and a home care service called CHAS at Home.

Celtic FC Foundation CEO, Tony Hamilton, said: “This is a very exciting period for Celtic FC Foundation and the Wonderland event is one of our key initiatives.

‘It’s shaping up to be a fantastic night at a very special time of year and it’s fitting that we will be getting behind CHAS, a wonderful charity which provides incredible support to children and their families across Scotland. I know that the Celtic Family will make it a festive night to remember.”
