BOBBY Petta is the latest former Celt to sign up for Celtic FC Foundation’s inaugural Golf Day at Renfrew Golf Club on Thursday, April 2.
The Dutch ace has joined Tom Boyd’s team of former players as they bid to win Celtic FC Foundation’s prestigious Golf Day trophy – and you can play alongside them.
The Golf event, which is being held on World Autism Awareness Day, will see all proceeds raised going towards a project that will help children and young people with autism.
The cost to enter a team of four is £400 and availability is now very limited. Participants also have the opportunity to invite friends and partners for the afternoon lunch and entertainment at a cost of £40 per place.*
The format of the Golf Day will see a host of teams playing 18 holes with a shotgun start and a Texas Scramble scoring system. Following the tournament, there will be a fantastic carvery lunch as well as a charity auction, raffle and entertainment.
When asked about his team’s chances, Bobby Petta told the official Celtic website: “As former players, there is definitely a bit of pressure on us to put in a strong performance and I’ll be sure to get some driving practice in before the day.
“In all seriousness, I’m really pleased to play in this event and whether we win or lose, it’s all for a very worthy cause.”
