Supporters Complete ‘Bray 2 the Celtic Way’ Charity Cycle

Ahead of the kick-off at Celtic’s home match against St Mirren on Saturday, April 11, 2026, supporters Gareth Lewins and Alan Wallace successfully completed their ‘Bray 2 the Celtic Way’ cycling challenge. The duo cycled over 400km from Bray in Ireland to Glasgow, across two days in support of Celtic FC Foundation and Irish charity Suicide or Survive.

The pair set off from Bray Beach in the early hours of Friday morning and embarked on the demanding journey, before arriving in Glasgow in time for the 3pm kick-off.

Throughout the journey, the cyclists faced physical and mental challenges but remained focused on their goal. The pair have raised an outstanding total of over €14K so far, and there is still time to support them HERE.

All funds raised will support the Foundation’s work assisting the most vulnerable in our communities, as well as Suicide or Survive (SOS), a highly impactful Irish charity dedicated specifically to suicide prevention and saving lives.

Inspired by Gareth’s own personal experiences and his involvement in previous Foundation initiatives, the ‘Bray 2 the Celtic Way’ challenge was driven by a desire to give back and to support those who may be facing some of life’s most difficult moments.

Upon completion of the cycle, they were warmly welcomed onto the Celtic Way by their family and friends, along with representatives from both charities.

Reflecting on the cycle, Gareth and Alan said, “It was an amazing challenge to set ourselves. We always knew it was going to be tough due to the distance involved, especially on day two with the fatigue setting in. But the feeling of accomplishment and knowing why we were doing this and who we were doing it for helped us push through the barriers onto the finish line. To have so many of our family, friends and fellow Celtic supporters to welcome us on the Celtic Way was truly heart-warming and strengthened our belief in why we undertook this challenge.”

Celtic FC Foundation would like to express our gratitude to Gareth and Alan once again, for their magnificent efforts.
