Support those facing homelessness through Brother Walfrid virtual community lunch

In recent years, Celtic FC Foundation have marked the anniversary of the passing of the Club’s Founding Father on April 17, by hosting our Brother Walfrid Community Lunch, in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park.

In keeping with his charitable ethos and vision of alleviating poverty, our special guests – predominantly from the homeless community – have been welcomed to the dinner table at Celtic Park, to enjoy a hot meal and the company of friends old and new.

Due to the pandemic and with social distancing measures and other restrictions still in place, we are sadly unable to host our lunch this year. However, those facing homelessness now need our help more than ever before.

Therefore, we are humbly asking those supporters who are in a position to do so, to contribute to the Brother Walfrid Virtual Community Lunch, on or before the anniversary on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Supporters can donate whatever they can afford e.g. £5, £10, £20, etc. HERE with funds raised covering the cost of hot meals for our friends in the homeless community.

Due to your phenomenal support, we will work with a number of our Football for Good Fund (FFGF) charity partners – including the Wayside Club, Help the Homeless and Safe in Scotland (formerly known as Glasgow Night Shelter) – to continue to provide support to those who need it most.

Since the launch of the FFGF in March 2020 and throughout the coming months, the Foundation will continue to ensure that food parcels, basic necessities, hot meals and other critical interventions are available to the growing number of people affected by the ruthlessness of COVID-19.

Thank you for your wonderful support, as always.
