Celtic are delighted to announce that music legend, Sir Rod Stewart, will be supporting the work of Celtic FC Foundation as he attends its second Gala Dinner in Manhattan, New York tomorrow (Thursday).
Around 300 guests, including businesses, individuals and representatives from local Celtic supporters’ clubs across the Eastern Seaboard will attend tomorrow’s event, with Celtic manager, Neil Lennon, also travelling to support the important work of our Foundation.
Celtic is privileged to have such a huge global fanbase, and there is a real appetite from our fans and sponsors in New York and across the United States to support the important work of the Foundation.
Ultimately, the Gala Dinner will be supporting a range of projects supporting vulnerable children and young people in Scotland, Ireland and New York.
Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, said: “We would like to sincerely thank Sir Rod Stewart, Neil Lennon and so many others for taking the time to support our work in New York. Both men have been tremendous supporters of the club’s charitable dimension over many years, and we are delighted that once again they are backing Celtic FC Foundation.
“Last year’s event in New York was a huge success and we hope this year’s event will once again generate significant funds to allow us to continue our important work in helping those in need.”
