Musician Sina Theil taking part in the Celtic Sleep Out Sligo

As we look ahead to the first ever Celtic Sleep Out event in Sligo, Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to confirm that we will be joined on the night by award-winning country and folk music artist Sina Theil.

Sina is a German-born, Irish-based multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and winner of the “Hottest Act in Irish Country Music (female)” Award. She is currently making music as an independent artist in the Country/Folk genre and has to date scored fourteen #1 singles plus a #1 and #2 album in the Irish Country Download Charts.

A huge Celtic fan, Sina has been keen to support the Club’s charitable arm and with the annual Christmas Appeal almost upon us, this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

As part of her Sleep Out fundraising campaign, Sina will promote a number of unique auctions, giveaways and personal challenges to get supporters involved and donating in support of our 2021 Appeal.

Sina, who has promised to bring along her guitar on the night and play some Celtic favourites, has set a fundraising goal of €1,700 and donations can be made towards her efforts HERE.

Speaking ahead of the event Sina said: “COVID-19 has plunged so many people into hardship; now is the time to stand together and help those in need. All I will be doing is putting myself through a night of freezing cold, wind and possibly wet but it’s in the knowledge that it’s for a vital, wonderful cause. So I’d encourage fellow supporters to join us in Ballymote if they can and if not, please contribute if possible.”

Our brand new Celtic Sleep Out Sligo event will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 – the anniversary of the club’s formation. The venue will be Brother Walfrid Park in Ballymote, Co Sligo – the home town of our Founding Father – so this holds huge historical and emotional significance for the Celtic Family.

All funds raised by Sina and the rest of the Sleep Out participants will help to bring the magic of the festive season to children, families, pensioners, those in refuge, the homeless, refugees and others who are struggling at an especially challenging time of year – with a primary focus to provide support directly in Ireland, as we have for many years through the Appeal.

Time is running out but supporters can still register to take part by signing up HERE. The non-refundable registration fee is £30/€35 per person and each participant is tasked with raising a minimum of £130/€150 (after entry fee). Please ensure you read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly before committing your agreement and signing up.

Thank you so much for your wonderful support.
