Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to announce a brand new fundraiser – ‘Celts by the Sea’ – which will take place in County Cork. The event is very generously being sponsored by Sea Church, Ballycotton.
Delivered in conjunction with the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters Clubs, ‘Celts by the Sea’ will take place on Saturday, June 17 and will include a sponsored walk in the Ballycotton area of East Cork, followed by an evening of entertainment at Sea Church – a beautiful casual dining restaurant and event space.
Supporters will have an opportunity to participate in the sponsored walk element and the evening event, or can opt to participate in either element of this exciting duo of Foundation fundraising initiatives. Those who take part in the walk will be able to purchase their ticket for the evening event at a discounted price. Sponsored walk participants under the age of 18 are welcome to join the evening event free of charge, but due to licensing restrictions, they must vacate the venue by 8pm.
The sponsored walk element – set to kick off at 3pm – will see participants complete the 9.5km Ballycotton Cliff Walk, which boasts some truly breathtaking sea views.
The minimum age to take part is 10 (as of the event date) and participants aged 10-15 must have written consent and be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian/responsible adult, who must also take part in the event.
The walk will end at Sea Church and participants will be welcomed into the stunning venue to enjoy a well-earned BBQ from 5.30pm (included in the ticket price).
Sea Church will then play host to a fantastic night of entertainment, as we’re joined by former Celts Tosh McKinlay and Mick Conroy, as well as Cork comedy favourite, Tadhg Hickey. The evening will also include live music and some fantastic prizes in a wonderful prize draw.
