This year’s Great Scottish Run will take place across the weekend of Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 and once again we’re encouraging supporters to sign up to take on the challenge, in support of Celtic FC Foundation.
An annual fixture in our calendar of fundraising events, the Great Scottish Run offers a wonderful opportunity for fans to get active and raise some funds, while proudly sporting the Celtic FC Foundation logo during their respective distances.
Funds raised by those participating in this year’s event will further our initiatives within our priority areas of Health, Equality, Learning and Poverty (HELP).
The event will take place in Glasgow and participants can choose to take part in either the 10K or half-marathon.
Both elements will set off from George Square and participants will take in some of the city’s most eye catching sights throughout their journey, culminating in a finish at Glasgow Green. And, if running isn’t your thing, it’s also an option to walk the route and take time to enjoy the various Glasgow landmarks along the way.
Upon registration, we will provide those taking part with a fundraising pack including sponsorship form, guidance on how to set up an online fundraising page and an official Celtic FC Foundation t-shirt.
The main event on Sunday, September 29 includes:
10K (entry fee £28)
Half-Marathon (entry fee £35)
The two-day event also includes a family day on Super Saturday, September 28:
Toddler Dash (0-5 years): 100m (entry is free)
Junior Run (9-15 years): 2.5k (entry fee £9)
Family Mile (3-8 years): 1 mile (entry fee adults/children £9)
