Foundation set for Sleep Out events this weekend in Glasgow and Wicklow

Celtic FC Foundation are set for a Sleep Out double header this weekend, as we prepare for our event in County Wicklow this evening, followed by its Glasgow counterpart tomorrow night, both of which will play an integral part in this year’s Christmas Appeal.

Celtic Park is, of course, the natural location for the Glasgow event, which is set to take place for the ninth time, while the Carlisle Grounds in Bray, home of Bray Wanderers, will play host to our first ever event in Wicklow.

Participants at each event will spend the night battling the gruelling elements outdoors, under the stars, all for a wonderful cause.

All funds raised from these events will support our 2024 Christmas Appeal, which reflects the very essence of why our Club was formed.

Through this year’s Appeal, we hope to assist local families facing poverty, so they can enjoy the type of Christmas that many of us take for granted.

As well as pensioners, women and children in refuge, the homeless community, refugees, and a host of others who would otherwise struggle over the festive period.

The primary focus of proceeds raised from this evening’s event will be to provide support directly in Ireland, including two local charities in County Wicklow – Arklow Community Action Resource Centre and Wicklow Homeless Five Loaves. Both organisations provide vital resources to the most vulnerable within their local communities.

Celtic FC Foundation would like to thank each and every one of the supporters who will be taking part in the Sleep Out events this weekend for their magnificent efforts and we wish them all the very best of luck.

The last of our trio of Sleep Out events will take place on Friday, December 13 in London at St Anne’s Primary School, where Brother Walfrid spent time following his spell in Glasgow and the formation of Celtic. And there’s still time to register and take part HERE.
