As we continue to support those most in need in our communities, we turn our focus to another of the charity partners who will benefit through the Football for Good Fund- Birth, Baby & Beyond, who have been given £5,000 to support their work.

Founded in 2012, Birth, Baby & Beyond is a children’s charity based in Glasgow that provides free starter packs of essential baby and child items to families in need.

To date the organisation have helped over 35,000 families with essential baby and child items and have reduced hundreds of tons of perfectly usable baby items from becoming landfill.

Natasha Earle, Founder and Chief Executive of Birth, Baby & Beyond, spoke about what her organisation were doing during the current coronavirus crisis.

She said: “In addition to our ongoing work, we are also providing free emergency baby packs to families facing financial difficulties at this uncertain time. In order to do this, our charity is actively fundraising to allow us to purchase the most essential baby items such as food, bottles and nappies to put into packs.

“Families can contact our charity and self-refer for a pack on allocated days. Once a family has claimed a free pack our volunteers put the items together and deliver it to the families home via our contact-free delivery service, normally on the same day.”

Natasha Earle also expressed her thanks for the support received, saying: “Everyone at Birth, Baby & Beyond, including our volunteers, service users and supporters are extremely grateful for the support Celtic FC Foundation has given us at this difficult time.

“The support from the Football for Good Fund has enabled Birth, Baby & beyond to purchase a large stock of essential baby items such as formula milk, baby food, nappies and bottles. Without the immediate support the Foundation has provided, many families would not have received such a fast and safe delivery service form Birth, Baby & Beyond.”
