Celtic stars meet some very special fans

Over a hundred supporters got the chance to meet their heroes today (Monday) as Celtic held a player meet and greet for some special supporters. Callum McGregor, Boli Bolingoli, Craig Gordon and Conor Hazard teamed up with new Bhoy, Patryk Klimala, to spend time signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

The club worked alongside Celtic FC Foundation and external charities like Calum’s Cabin and Cash for Kids to invite supporters to the event at Celtic Park.

Children and adults battling life-threatening illnesses, those living with long-term health conditions and fans who can’t attend matches due to mental or physical barriers, were among those at the meet and greet.

Fans also created their own lasting memory of the famous Treble Treble, with a photo opportunity with all three trophies! Hoopy and Hailey the Huddle Hounds were also on hand for selfies and a boogie on the dance floor.

Celtic midfielder, Callum McGregor said: “As a team, we are very grateful for the incredible support we receive from our fans. Our recent successes have been a real team effort, both on and off the pitch.

“Events like today, give players the opportunity to spend time meeting some very special supporters who are facing a difficult time with their own challenges. It is a privilege for us to meet these fans, hopefully help raise their spirits and in some way bring a smile to their faces.”
