Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to confirm that we are returning to County Cork for ‘Celts by the Sea 2024′, following the wonderful success of the inaugural event in June last year. Featuring former Treble-winning Celtic manager and captain, Neil Lennon, the 2024 initiative is, once again, being very generously sponsored by Sea Church, Ballycotton.
Delivered in conjunction with the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters’ Clubs, ‘Celts by the Sea’ will take place on Saturday, June 22 and will include a sponsored walk in the Ballycotton area of East Cork, followed by an evening of entertainment at Sea Church – a beautiful restaurant and event space.
Supporters will have an opportunity to participate in the sponsored walk element and the evening event, or can opt to participate in either, as this exciting duo of Foundation fundraising initiatives returns. Those who take part in the walk will be able to purchase their ticket for the evening event at a discounted price.
The sponsored walk element – set to kick off at 3pm – will see participants complete the famous Ballycotton Cliff Walk, which boasts some truly breathtaking sea views.
Participants under the age of 16 must have written consent and be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian/responsible adult, who must also take part in the event.
The walk will end at Sea Church and participants will be welcomed into the stunning venue, where they will have the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned rest and a delicious BBQ from 5.30pm (depending on ticket purchased).
Sea Church will then play host to a fantastic night of entertainment including a Q&A with Neil Lennon, live music from Celtic Park favourite, Liam McGrandles and some fantastic items in a wonderful prize draw and auction.
Registration fees/ticket prices and minimum fundraising requirements are as follows:
Sponsored walk participants under the age of 18 are welcome to join the evening event free of charge, but due to licensing restrictions, they must vacate the venue by 8pm.
You can register for any of the available packages now HERE. Please ensure you read the Terms and Conditions before completing the process.
Proceeds raised will be devoted to supporting children and young people through Celtic FC Foundation’s Community Games and Ability Counts projects in Ireland. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Marymount University Hospital & Hospice in Cork.
