Celtic FC Foundation alongside Celtic FC are thrilled to announce our participation in the Glasgow 2024 Pride Parade, marking our second time celebrating and taking part in Pride.
The parade is set for Saturday, 20th July, starting from Festival Park, located near the Glasgow Science Centre.
The event will be hosted on the day by GO Radio presenters, Crofty and Gina McKie.
Since 1887, Celtic Football Club has welcomed everyone, regardless of faith, colour, creed, or race. We warmly invite our supporters to join us on the march, where we will proudly display a banner reading ‘A Club open to All’.
As a club welcoming to everyone, we are committed to making Celtic Park and the Albert Bartlett Stadium safe and inclusive for all supporters, including those from the LGBTQ+ community.
LGBTQ+ Celtic Supporters’ Club, ‘The Proud Huddle’, will be joining colleagues, participants, and other supporters on the day, ensuring it will be an event to remember.
Maggie Murphy, Chair of the Proud Huddle, said: “We are yet again delighted to be walking at Pride. Last year’s event was such a poignant moment for all of us, our numbers and visibility were absolutely incredible, akin to the performance of the women’s and men’s teams on the park this season.
“Pride is a very important event to increase acknowledgement and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in Glasgow. It creates a day of celebration and inclusion, and yet again the Huddle are delighted to be part of the party.”
To celebrate, the Club’s retail department has created a range to champion equality and diversity for all Celtic fans.
The Celtic Pride range is made up of a selection of products where a percentage of the sale of each item in our collection will be devoted to charitable purposes via Celtic FC Foundation and LGBTQ+ Youth Scotland. Click HERE to view the full Celtic Pride range.
We encourage supporters to join the march on Saturday 20 July at 12PM at Festival Park alongside the Club and Celtic FC Foundation.
As usual, be prepared for any weather, wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, bring water/poncho, and feel free to wear bright and colourful clothing if you like!
