Celtic FC Foundation all set for Summer Games

Celtic FC Foundation is looking forward to welcoming young people from a host of local schools to Celtic Park to participate in our upcoming Summer Games project.

Based at the stadium and surrounding locations, the initiative will provide extensive ongoing support over the school break, with participants set to enjoy healthy meals every day and a host of fun and educational activities.

Summer Games has supported hundreds of young people since its inception in 2012, with recent offshoots taking place during the October and Easter school holidays.

Speaking on the recent success of the Easter Games, Nancy Clunie, Headteacher at Dalmarnock Primary said: “We are so fortunate to benefit from the generosity of Celtic FC Foundation.

“It is an invaluable resource for our community and gives us reassurance that our children are being looked after, stimulated and encouraged during the school holidays.”

Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive at Celtic FC Foundation, added: “Thanks to everyone who has contributed financially to the Foundation. That generosity has enabled vital initiatives such as this.

“Delivering a range of recreational activities is essential, however, equally important is to provide a safe and positive environment, and to feed children within our communities, when school is closed.”
