Register now and join Celtic FC Foundation’s Wicklow Sleep Out event

There’s still plenty of time to register for our Celtic Sleep Out in Ireland, Wicklow, the first of a trio of Sleep Out events and the fourth Sleep Out event we have held in Ireland.

Funds raised from this event will support our 2024 Christmas Appeal, which reflects the very essence of why our club was formed.

And we’re delighted to confirm that the primary focus of proceeds from this event will be to provide support directly in Ireland, including two local charities in County Wicklow – Arklow Community Action Resource Centre and Wicklow Homeless Five Loaves. Both organisations provide vital resources to the most vulnerable within their local communities.

The Sleep Out will take place on Friday, November 15 at the Carlisle Grounds, home of Bray Wanderers FC. The stadium has been a focal point for local football since it became Bray Wanderers’ home in 1922 and it has witnessed numerous memorable matches and remains a key fixture in Irish football.

Among those memorable matches was a friendly between our Sleep Out hosts and Celtic FC back in July 2000, as the newly appointed Martin O’Neill brought his side to Ireland. A Tommy Johnson hattrick sealed a 3-2 victory for the Bhoys over the then Irish First Division Champions. This was the second pre-season in a row in which the two sides had met, having played in Dublin the previous year, with Celtic winning 2-0 on that occasion.

We offer special thanks to everyone at Bray Wanderers Football Club, the three wonderful local Celtic Supporters’ Clubs in Wicklow and our friends at The Association of Irish Celtic Supporters’ Clubs, whose unwavering generosity, advice and assistance have been instrumental in the organisation of the event.

Celtic Sleep Out, Wicklow participants will spend the night – from 9.00pm to 5.00am – battling the elements outdoors, all for a wonderful cause.

Registration for the event is open HERE. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The non-refundable registration fee is £30/€35 per person. Please ensure you read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly before committing to your agreement and signing up.

Each participant is tasked with raising a minimum of £135/€160 (after the entry fee) to support this year’s Christmas Appeal.

Due to anticipated severe weather conditions, this event will be exceptionally challenging, both mentally and physically. Therefore, participants must be aged 18+ and be in an appropriate physical condition to take part.

Celtic FC Foundation will provide a ground mat and foil sheet/blanket but participants are required to bring the appropriate equipment and wear relevant clothing and footwear.

Thank you so much for your wonderful support!
