IN THE EAST – KILTWALK EDINBURGH
Taking place on Sunday, September 18, 2016, the 26-mile Mighty Stride through the capital starts at Murrayfield Stadium and will have you passing through Gypsy Brae, Granton Harbour and Victoria Park, crossing the cobbles of Leith to then walk Edinburgh’s lovely Promenade. Then it’s back inland heading for Arthur’s Seat, and a glance at the Palace before hitting the home stretch to enjoy the final celebrations.
If 26 miles is a little too adventurous, you can sign up for the Big Stroll. Covering roughly half the distance, you’ll still get a chance to stretch your legs as you set off from Murrayfield and travel across the city.
If covering the whole city of Edinburgh isn’t for you, but you still want to get involved you can sign up for the Wee Wander. Setting off from Gypsy Brae, the little over five-mile trek will still get you back in time to enjoy the after party!
The registration fees are:
The Mighty Stride
26 miles (£31.62 adults and children aged 13-16)
The Big Stroll
12 miles (£31.62 adults and children aged 10-16)
The Wee Wander
5 miles (£13.20 adults; £7.20 children aged 5-16)
