Celtic FC Foundation regularly benefit from new and imaginative fundraising ideas and concepts from a host of wonderful supporters. A recent example is the unique gesture by a group of friends, who gifted a limited edition cask of Crolly Irish Whiskey to the Foundation, all the way from Donegal. At some point in the future, we will sell or auction the cask and use the proceeds to fund our work challenging poverty, in our local communities.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to those supporters behind this incredible gesture – Brendan and Anne Collum, Rodger and Helen Gardner, Liam and Carol Donnelly, Tommy and Annie Easton, Gerry and Angela Murray, Tony and Linda Kane and the couple who came up with the idea, Martin and Christine McHugh.
Martin McHugh, explained why he and his friends wanted to support the Foundation in this way: “My wife Christine and I decided that we would invest in a cask of Crolly Whiskey for our three Grandchildren Mia, Sebastian and Aoife. That got me thinking about Celtic FC Foundation and the possibility of buying one for them, so I approached a few close friends to donate, who happily agreed to contribute.”
At some point in the future, we will share further details around how we plan to make sure this act of generosity helps Celtic FC Foundation raise funds to create the maximum impact in the communities we serve. The cask can be sold or auctioned in its entirety, or just under 300 individual bottles will be produced from the cask and sold separately.
