FOR some Celtic supporters in North America, there is an exciting new opportunity to permanently display the crest of Celtic FC Foundation everywhere you travel, and, in doing so, proudly celebrate the club’s charitable roots. 

Since a license plate is not legally required on the front of vehicles registered in 19 of the 50 states in the US and in nine Canadian Provinces and Territories, many vehicle owners opt to complement their car with a front plate that has a personal touch. 

After witnessing drivers in his home state of North Carolina displaying the badge of their favourite sports team on their vehicles, Celtic supporter John Conway came up with the creative idea of commissioning a custom-made license plate, to allow him to take the Celtic colours with him on his travels. 

Furthermore, John, who has lived in the US for 12 years, figured why not take the opportunity to publicly support not only his club, but also its charitable ethos. Thus, Celtic FC Foundation’s license plate was born, and John has now decided to share the venture with fellow Hoops fans with all proceeds coming back to the Foundation. 

For fans in North America, these Celtic FC Foundation plates can adorn the front of your vehicle or take pride of place as a piece of memorabilia. For fans in the UK and the rest of the world they would also make an excellent piece of memorabilia.

The Conway family will meet all of the production costs related to this venture for another very special reason. Tony Conway, son of John and his wife Pauline died in 2015 from motor neurone disease.  Therefore, all of the money raised by the sale of these unique vehicle plates will be directly assigned to the community work of Celtic FC Foundation, in memory of Tony Conway, who is pictured below with Billy McNeill.
