FOLLOWING Celtic’s title-clinching victory on Saturday, Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to announce that our Annual Badge Day will celebrate the club’s incredible eight-in-a-row achievement.
The event, which has once again been organised in collaboration with our Supporters’ Committee, will take place in the lead-up to the final SPFL match of the season, against Hearts, on Sunday, May 19. Celtic FC Foundation volunteers will be situated around the ground ahead of the 3pm kick-off.
This year’s unique badge will feature our Celtic FC Foundation branding, with the number eight shown in Roman numerals – ‘VIII’ – sitting proudly at the centre. We are requesting a minimum donation of £2 per badge.
For those fans who do not manage to get their hands on a badge before the match, they will be available post-match at the Celtic Superstore – by making a £2 donation in one of the Celtic FC Foundation boxes located at the tills – or online via Celtic FC Foundation’s eBay account.
We are currently looking for around 120 volunteers to be in place at all turnstile areas before the game. If you are interested in volunteering you can register by emailing [email protected] or calling 0141 551 4204.
Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, said: “We look forward to another wonderful Celtic FC Foundation Badge Day on May 19, and I am sure the Celtic support will be keen to get their hands on our latest pin badge.
“The Club’s achievement in winning eight consecutive league titles has been truly remarkable and we extend our congratulations to the first-team squad, management team and everyone connected with the club. This year’s badge is a fantastic tribute to that accomplishment.
“Our Supporters’ Committee have once again been instrumental in the co-ordination of this event and I must extend our thanks for the effort and dedication they have shown over the course of the season.
“I would also like to convey our thanks to the Celtic family for their continued support. Over the years, the fans have provided great backing for our Badge Day events, both in purchasing the badges, as well as volunteering their time as collectors on the day. I know they will be supporting us in great numbers once again.”
