Celtic FC Foundation in partnership with the Scottish Professional Football League Trust is delighted to announce another block of Football Fans in Training (FFIT) for this season.
Sessions are delivered here at Celtic Park for two hours per week over a 13 week period and will start week commencing September 12, with male only sessions taking place from 6pm-8pm on Mondays and Fridays and Female only sessions from 6pm-8pm on Wednesdays.
The aim of the project is to encourage male and female supporters, 35 to 65 years old, to make significant changes to their lifestyle by, becoming more active and eating a healthier diet. This will help participants to have more energy, improve fitness levels, general wellbeing and self-confidence.
Participants are targeted to achieve between 5% to 10% reduction in body weight. Our experienced delivery staff has been expertly trained to deliver this bespoke project where they encourage participants to stay active and healthy with a wider objective to have a positive effect on participants’ family and friends.
The sessions comprise a one hour interactive Lifestyle tutorial workshop (hosted in one of our match day lounges) to discuss individual goal-setting, diet, nutrition and hydration along with other relevant topics.
This is then followed by a one hour physical activity session which focuses on developing fitness areas such as strength and endurance. These activities take place in and around the stadium concourse areas as well trackside and gym which is used by players from Celtics First Team. The project is tailored to individual participant’s needs and requirements.
