Your chance to bid for unique a match for cancer memorabilia

CELTIC FC Foundation would like to thank all of the fans who supported our double-header of events –  An Evening With Petrov and Milner and A Match For Cancer – which both helped to raise invaluable funds, across a wonderful weekend of activity.

The dinner was a fantastic, heart-warming occasion in a packed Kerrydale Suite attended by Stiliyan Petrov, James Milner, Brendan Rodgers and a host of players from both charity match squads.

The match, which was sponsored by Dafabet and Laduma, saw Celtic legend, Stiliyan – who overcame Leukaemia after being diagnosed in 2012 – and Liverpool midfielder, James pull together opposing squads from the worlds of football and entertainment.

The match was a tremendous success and charity was the winner on the day, as the two sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.

We are now offering supporters the chance to own a unique piece of football memorabilia, as we are auctioning signed, match-issue shirts for each player who took part in the match, as well as one squad shirt signed by the entire Stiliyan Petrov squad and one squad shirt signed by the entire James Milner squad.

In additional to the match-issue shirts, the auction will also include one A Match For Cancer Warm-Up T-shirt signed by Brendan Rodgers, who managed Stiliyan’s squad and one signed by Jurgen Klopp, who managed James’ squad.

James and Liverpool team mate, Brazilian goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, have also offered support to A Match For Cancer by each donating a signed, match-issue Liverpool shirt, both of which will also be included in the auction, along with Stiliyan’s match-worn boots from the game.

All auction items are available from now until approximately 7pm on Sunday, September 16. To go to the auction site click HERE

Every penny raised will be devoted to tackling cancer through three equal beneficiary charities – Celtic FC Foundation, The Stiliyan Petrov Foundation and The James Milner Foundation.

Celtic FC Foundation and the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation have confirmed two cancer charity partners that they will work with to make a positive difference to patients and their families – Beatson Cancer Charity and the Schiehallion Ward through Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

The James Milner Foundation – set up around the time of Stiliyan’s diagnosis – has Bloodwise, the charity that combats blood cancer, as one of its major beneficiaries.

Celtic FC Foundation, The Stiliyan Petrov Foundation and The James Milner Foundation would like to thank you all for your continued generosity and support.
