Stagecoach backing Jock Stein Charity Match

AS the final preparations for the Jock Stein 30th Anniversary Charity Match are put in place, Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to announce that bus company Stagecoach have generously agreed to donate the team coach for the Celtic Legends’ squad on Sunday.

On the coach for the Celtic Legends’ squad, will be a host of Celtic greats and celebrities with Chris Sutton, Neil Lennon, Stiliyan Petrov and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink all scheduled to appear in the Hoops for Sunday’s showpiece event at East End Park.

Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation said: “We have had fantastic support from Stagecoach over the years and this gesture is absolutely magnificent. I would like to thank our friends at Stagecoach for, yet again, getting behind our charitable efforts.”

Stagecoach offer a number of convenient and affordable bus routes across Glasgow including:

– The new and improved X19 service which will serve Easterhouse, the Fort, City Centre and the Hospital.

– The G1 service which runs from the QEU Hospital to Partick via the Ruchill Student Village and University Avenue.

– The G2 service which runs from the Southern General Hospital to Partick, Maryhill (Wyndford Road) and Hyndland Road.

It’s shaping up to be a wonderful day, in tribute to the greatest of Celts.

The Jock Stein 30th Anniversary Charity Match, sponsored by Direct Slating Supplies, takes place on Sunday, September 6 at East End Park (KO 2pm).

Proceeds from the day will be shared between Celtic FC Foundation and the Pars Foundation, the respective charitable arms of both clubs. Celtic FC Foundation’s share of the proceeds will be devoted to assisting those affected by the current refugee crisis.

Tickets for the match are priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions. There will be cash turnstiles for both sets of fans on the day but, to avoid the queues, get your tickets in advance from the Celtic Ticket Office.
