Priesthill Community Garden helped by Celtic FC Foundation

CELTIC FC Foundation are delighted to be able to make a £1,000 donation to the 3Hills Community Garden in Priesthill after it was recently damaged by fire last week.

The garden, which is set in the grounds of Cleeves Primary School, is an essential community space used by children as young as two-years-old for education and outdoor lessons.

It also acts as a social area where the local community get together and are taught how to grow affordable food and have the opportunity to meet with others in the area.

The main aims of Celtic FC Foundation are that of improving ;Health, promoting ;Equality, encouraging ;Learning and tackling ;Poverty, and the 3Hills Community Garden is a model example of the great work in which we are able to support.

Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation, said: €œWe were saddened to hear of the damage at such an important community facility but we are delighted that we could assist on this occasion.

€œThe community garden at Househillmuir is used by so many people so it€™s necessary to restore it as soon as possible.

€œPeople in the community are a major priority for us at Celtic FC Foundation, which is why we€™re currently running our Christmas Appeal. This will benefit many local families in the city and other organisations who look after vulnerable people, including the homeless and women and children in refuge.”

Please help us brighten up lives this Christmas.
