WITH the annual Great Scottish Run 10k taking place on Sunday, October 4, we are encouraging supporters to get their running shoes on and raise money for Celtic FC Foundation, and we’ve got a reason for every kilometre.

Funds raised through your participation in the Great Scottish Run will further our initiatives within our key priority areas of Health, Equality, Learning and Poverty (HELP).

4 See Glasgow in all its glory
Setting off from George Square, participants will travel across the city, including sharing some magnificent views from the Kingston Bridge (and a peek at Paradise), before finishing at Glasgow Green.

Whether you are a seasoned runner or a novice with strained stamina, the Great Scottish Run caters to all levels of ability and participants can opt to tailor their allotted race time to suit their pace.
6 Fundraising couldn’t be simpler
Once you have signed up via the Great Scottish Run website (link above), let us know of your participation and we’ll take care of the rest. Celtic FC Foundation will issue you with all you need to fundraise including details of how to get set-up for online donations.
7 Sample the tremendous atmosphere of the Great Scottish Run
A well-established and hugely popular event, the Great Scottish Run is renowned for its signature atmosphere along the course as legions of well-wishers cheer you on as you pound the tarmac en-route to the finish line.
8 An occasion for the whole family
In addition to the 10k and half-marathon on Sunday, October 4, there is also the junior run for runners of a younger variety. Children and young people can participate in the Toddler Dash (0-5years): 100m (entry is free), Family Mile (3-8 years): 1 mile (entry fee adults/children £6 Junior Run (9-15 years), 2.5k (entry fee £6).
