JAMES Milner has announced his squad for ‘A Match For Cancer’, the charity game at Paradise on Saturday, September 8 (KO:2pm), to take on Stiliyan Petrov’s team.
And Milner’s manager at Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, is heading to Paradise to take charge of the team for this special match, where he will face Brendan Rodgers, who is in charge of Stiliyan Petrov’s squad.
As well as a collection of former team-mates, Milner has also drafted in YouTubers, F2 Freestylers, for the game.
The players confirmed so far by James Milner are: Chris Kirkland, Stephen Warnock, John Arne Riise, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, Jason McAteer, Jamie Redknapp, Jimmy Bullard, Emile Heskey, Owen Hargreaves, Dirk Kuyt, Peter Crouch, Alan Smith and Neil Mellor.
There are also other names in the pipeline for James Milner’s squad which will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
As well as having Brendan Rodgers managing his team, Stiliyan Petrov has confirmed his squad, which will include current Celtic captain, Scott Brown. The other confirmed names are: Shay Given, Artur Boruc, Henrik Larsson, Lubo Moravcik, Paddy McCourt, John Hartson, Joos Valgaeren, Johan Mjallby, Robbie Keane, Tosh McKinlay, Jackie McNamara, Simon Donnelly, Gareth Barry, Hristo Stoichkov, Luis Garcia, Gaizka Mendieta, Maxwell and Martin Compston.

Celtic FC Foundation will also be hosting a fundraising dinner – An Evening with Petrov and Milner – the night before the match, on Friday, September 7. This will take place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park.
Joining Stiliyan and James on the night will be a host of representatives from both charity match squads.
