Incredible support for Celtic FC Foundation’s Badge Day

SUNDAY’S final home game of the season saw the Hoops lift the SPFL trophy in spectacular style, with a resounding 5-0 victory over Inverness. There was also huge success off the pitch as Celtic FC Foundation’s Badge Day raised a magnificent total of over £17,000.

Over 100 volunteers kindly devoted their time to sell badges pre-match and Celtic FC Foundation would like to extend a thank you to them for their considerable effort, enthusiasm and support.

This year’s design featured Celtic manager Ronny Deila’s trademark ‘Ronny Roar’ and it was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the Celtic Family. Your generous contributions will make a huge difference to those who need our help the most.

Net proceeds will support Celtic FC Foundation’s ongoing projects around our four key themes of improving Health, promoting Equality, encouraging Learning and tackling Poverty.

On the success of Badge Day, Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation said: “Sincere thanks to the volunteers and to the thousands of Celtic supporters who bought a badge.

“Sunday was a special day at Celtic Park and once again our supporters demonstrated what makes us unique by continuing to support those who need our help the most.

“We’re trying to help as many people as we can through our four priority areas of Health, Equality, Learning and Poverty and we will continue to do that with the backing of the club and its supporters.”

For supporters still wishing to purchase Celtic FC Foundation’s Ronny Roar badge, they will be available in all Celtic Stores from Monday, June 1 or you can contact Celtic FC Foundation via email at [email protected] or call 0141 551 4321.
