Dafabet and Utilita get behind Henrik’s Heroes v Lubo’s Legends

CELTIC  FC Foundation are delighted to announce two sponsors of the Henrik’s Heroes v Lubo’s Legends charity match – Dafabet and Utilita.

Main Club Sponsor Dafabet’s name has featured on the front on the club’s shirts since the start of this season and the partnership will continue for a further three years.

Dafabet, a leading global betting brand, already has a great relationship with the club, having entered into a five-year partnership last season by becoming Celtic’s International Betting Partner.

In September 2016, Utilita was officially announced as the club’s new energy partner. Last season, Utilita Energy was the Official Presenting Partner of the Scottish League Cup and has further underlined its commitment to Scottish football with this exciting deal.

As part of the deal, every Celtic fan who switches to Utilita Energy will receive a £25 voucher to be redeemed at the Celtic Superstore.

Both Dafabet and Utilita have now further enhanced these partnerships by getting behind the work of Celtic FC Foundation through charity match sponsorship.

Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive of Celtic FC Foundation said: “It’s fantastic news that both Dafabet and Utilita have committed to sponsoring Henrik’s Heroes v Lubo’s Legends. The profile and strength of both brands will add a new dimension to our fundraising efforts and I would like to thank them for their magnificent support.

“With over 50,000 tickets already sold, it’s shaping up to be a very special and memorable day and it’s yet another example of the unique and unsurpassed support and compassion that we will never take for granted.

“This allows us to develop our existing work at home, make serious inroads into building kitchens across the third world with Mary’s Meals, and to offer support and assistance to those affected with dementia.”

John Cruces, Dafabet’s Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, said: “We’re very happy to continue to support the Foundation and the great work they do ongoing in what should be a great family event.

“Two names who need no introduction to Celtic fans will be hosting the teams in what we’re sure will be a fantastic day for all involved and help bring a celebratory close to what’s been a fantastic season.”

Jem Maidment, Head of PR and Communications at Utilita, added: “It is a real honour to be part of such a fantastic event and to see so many Legends take to the field at Celtic Park.

“As Official Energy Partner of Celtic FC, we are proud to support an iconic charity such as Celtic FC Foundation and help continue the incredible work they do in the East End of Glasgow and beyond.”

Henrik’s Heroes versus Lubo’s Legends will take place at Celtic Park on Sunday, May 28, 2017, with a 2pm KO.

Tickets are on general sale, on a first come first served basis – maximum of 10 per person – priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions*.

Net proceeds of the game will be devoted to Celtic FC Foundation, a charity aiming to uphold and promote the founding principles of our football club. The four priorities are to improve health, promote equality, encourage learning and tackle poverty and the Foundation have a strong track record of delivering successful community-based projects.

Some of the funds will be used to extend existing projects such as the award-winning ‘Ability Counts’ – a project aimed at children and young people who live with Down’s Syndrome or Autism. We will also assist with Community Care for Dementia through a series of initiatives.

Finally, in partnership with Mary’s Meals, we will build 67 Kitchens for children in the developing world and send emergency food aid to South Sudan and Syria.
