CELTIC FC FOUNDATION are delighted to confirm that tickets for our 2015 Sporting Dinner – supported for the second year in row by BT Sport – are now officially on sale.
This has been a flagship initiative in the charity calendar for over 16 years and the 2015 event will take place on Thursday, March 5 in the Kerrydale Suite, here at Celtic Park.
It will be an evening of top-class entertainment with after-dinner speakers, an auction and raffle hosted by Andy Cameron, silent auction and fantastic four-course meal.
The main beneficiary will be Celtic FC Foundation’s nationwide “Inspiring Sport“ project, which builds on and enhances our existing partnership with Scottish Disability Sport.
It aims to effect considerable change and impact for people with a high level of support needs and will focus heavily on those with the most severe disabilities, who are often the most excluded.
Inspiring Sport will provide physical activity in sport for young people with severe and complex disabilities and also, working closely with all 13 Scottish Disability Sport branches across Scotland, establish a series of pan-disability events and programmes with a focus on severe impairments.
The project will build capacity through education and training for coaches and volunteers, provide suitable training kit and equipment and deliver new and increased activities and events to more participants across Scotland.
Tony Hamilton, CEO of Celtic FC Foundation, said: “The Sporting Dinner has been our longest-running event and we are hugely grateful for the wonderful and consistent support we have received over the years.
This year’s main beneficiary “Inspiring Sport“ is an exciting new partnership initiative with Scottish Disability Sport which is perfectly aligned with the core values of Celtic FC Foundation and our Club’s humble, charitable beginnings.
We aim to make this as successful as our award-winning Ability Counts programme for children and young people living with Down’s Syndrome.
We already have experience working with SDS through the magnificent efforts of fundraising through the 1888 Charity Shield, sponsored by Ace Refrigeration, and I’m sure this will be welcomed by young disabled people across Scotland and their families.
I would also like to thank BT Sport for their magnificent support of our Dinner for the second year in a row, and every organisation and individual who assist our efforts year after year.”
The cost for a table of 10 is £850 or places can be reserved on an individual basis, at £85pp.
