CELTIC FC Foundation have donated £500 to the Parkhead Community Nursery after it was broken into on Tuesday night.
The nursery, on Crail Street in the East End of Glasgow, was left in real difficulty following the theft of money and equipment, but Celtic’s charitable arm came to the rescue today (Wednesday).
The local community have also helped support the nursery at this difficult time by donating money, and as a result, normal services resumed today and the Nursery’s Christmas Party will be able to take place on Friday.
The 96 children, aged from babies to five-years-old, were able to go ahead with their scheduled Nativity play and help share the spirit of Christmas.
