Celtic FC Foundation Badge Day success at Paradise

AS the curtain came down on another wonderful league campaign for the Magnificen7 champions, Celtic FC Foundation’s Annual Badge Day was once again a huge success, raising a net total in the region of £20,000.

The party atmosphere was in full flow ahead of kick-off as fans gathered to watch on the first team arrive for a welcome procession up the Celtic Way, led by Club Ambassadors Tom Boyd and Roy Aitken, carrying the SPFL trophy.

Organised in collaboration with our Supporters’ Committee and the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust, Badge Day saw over 100 volunteers situated around the stadium, who had kindly donated their time to sell our latest pin badge.

Fans responded in their thousands once again, as they were eager to get their hands on this year’s badge which paid tribute to one of the Club’s most loved and cherished figures, Tommy Burns, marking the anniversary of his sad passing which was ten years ago today.

The badges are shaped in the number 10, which was so famously worn by Tommy, and feature the logos of both Celtic FC Foundation and the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust. Net proceeds from Badge Day 2018 will be shared equally between the two charities.
