Since Celtic Football Club was formed in 1887, charity has paved the Celtic Way as our supporters continually celebrate and participate in the humble traditions of the Club. Today, this core founding principle is honoured and upheld by Celtic FC Foundation.
Via our regular giving initiative, Walfrid’s Wish, we offer supporters the opportunity to contribute monthly to follow in the footsteps of Brother Walfrid. These donations support the continuation and development of our work challenging poverty.
Just over a year on from the launch of ‘Paradise Pit Stop’ we’re delighted to confirm this project has thrived, thanks to funds raised via various initiatives, including vital contributions from our generous Walfrid’s Wish regular donors.
This has seen a total of 20,240 hot meals and drinks being served to over 10,400 individuals who have joined us at Celtic Park.
On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Celtic FC Foundation hosted its inaugural ‘Paradise Pit Stop Lunch Breaks’ project, offering a further two opportunities for guests to join us each week. This will further help to combat the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, which is continuing to put a strain on households across the country.
Through ‘Paradise Pit Stop’ and ‘Paradise Pit Stop Lunch Breaks’ our doors here at Celtic Park are now open every Monday and Thursday evening, between 5pm-7pm and every Wednesday and Friday afternoon, from 12noon-2pm. Anyone who may wish to join us, can pop in and enjoy good company, a free warm meal and a selection of hot and soft drinks in the comfort of our lounge.
