Manchester United Legends v Celtic Legends Matchday Guide

Around 3,000 Celtic supporters will travel to Old Trafford when Celtic Legends take on Manchester United Legends this Saturday, September 7 (KO: 2pm).

The match will see a host of Celtic greats pull on the Hoops once again, for what promises to be a fantastic occasion, all for a great cause.

Paul Lambert will be in the Celtic Legends dugout and will be aided by Tom Boyd and Tosh McKinlay.

CELTIC LEGENDS SQUAD

Goalkeepers: Artur Boruc, Lukasz Zaluska

Defenders: Charlie Mulgrew, Darren O’Dea, Efe Ambrose, Kelvin Wilson, Mikael Lustig, Stephen McManus

Midfielders: Barry Robson, Joe Ledley, Jonny Hayes, Simon Donnelly, Stiliyan Petrov

Forwards: Gary Hooper, Georgios Samaras, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink

It promises to be a highly competitive match, with the Manchester United Legends squad including the likes of Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Dimitar Berbatov and self confessed Celtic fan Darren Fletcher.

GETTING TO OLD TRAFFORD

AWAY TURNSTILE LOCATION

The away turnstiles are located at the South East corner of the stadium (see map below) and will open 2 hours prior to kick-off.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

All supporters attending at Old Trafford will be subjected to a screening process prior to entering the stadium that includes a physical and/or visual search. In addition, there are restrictions on the size of bag that can be taken onto the stadium footprint.

Exceptions will only be made for bags containing essential medical provisions/equipment or baby changing items that require larger bags. Please do not bring a bag larger than 20cm x 15cm x 5cm (8″ x 6″ x 2″) with you to the match (this equates to a small handbag).

Proceeds from the match will go towards supporting youngsters across Greater Manchester and beyond, helping Manchester United Foundation to continue its community work and improving the lives of thousands of young people. Support will also be provided to Celtic FC Foundation, to help in its mission to alleviate poverty in Glasgow and further afield.
