CELTIC FC Foundation’s 2019 Annual Sporting Dinner will take place this week, on Thursday, March 28. The event sold out a number of months ago and this is a fantastic measure of the support we receive on an annual basis.
We are delighted to confirm that IBC Wealth has very generously committed to sponsorship of our Annual Sporting Dinner for the next two years. IBC Wealth provide bespoke financial planning solutions to corporate and individual clients.
The Dinner has been a flagship initiative in the charity calendar for over 20 years, and the 2019 event will take place in the Kerrydale Suite, here at Celtic Park.
The evening will include a Q&A with some very special guests, an auction and prize draw hosted by the inimitable Andy Cameron, silent auction and fantastic three-course meal. MC for the event will be Peter Martin.
Following 2017’s #LionsLegacy fundraising campaign, Celtic FC Foundation now operate dementia care projects in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Linking up with The Eric Liddell Centre, our ‘Liddell Lions Lunch’ operates at the Centre’s Community Hub in Morningside, Edinburgh – and for participants and carers, the project triggers positive impacts on health and wellbeing to encourage improved social interaction and behavioural stability. Similarly, we work alongside Alzheimer Scotland on a separate ‘Lunch Breaks’ project, hosted at Celtic Park.
These dementia care projects will be the main beneficiary of this year’s Sporting Dinner, allowing us to maintain, develop and enhance our current provision.
Tony Hamilton, Chief Executive of Celtic FC Foundation, said: “Ken Simpson of IBC Wealth has supported Celtic FC Foundation in a variety of ways, including volunteering for our overseas trip to Malawi last year. It’s wonderful to have IBC Wealth on board for the next two years as sponsor of our Annual Sporting Dinner, which is a key event within our fundraising calendar, and their support is invaluable.”
Ken Simpson, IBC Wealth’s Managing Director, added: “IBC are delighted to support the Annual Sporting Dinner. Celtic FC Foundation are very much aligned with our ideals of community and wellbeing.”
