Festive fun at Paradise as Primary pupils attend Foundation Christmas Party

As part of Celtic FC Foundation’s 2023 Christmas Appeal, today (Monday) we hosted a Christmas Party, as more than 200 Primary Five pupils from five schools in the East End of Glasgow – Cranhill, Eastbank, Golfhill, St Denis’ and St Thomas’ – made their way to Celtic Park’s Kerrydale Suite.

And there was a very special guest in attendance, as club captain, Callum McGregor joined the children for an afternoon of festive fun, with every school having the opportunity to have their photo taken alongside him.

The party was made possible following the success of the Foundation’s Christmas Appeal, and the kids were treated to a festive lunch, party games, a ‘tattoo’ artist, a face painter, a visit from Hoopy the Huddle Hound and a disco!

And of course, no Christmas Party would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus, who delivered a selection box to each and every child.

Speaking of the party, Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, said: “As always, this is one of the best days of the year for our team, as we welcome over 200 local children for our Christmas Party.

‘It’s a real joy to have them here and they never fail to bring the festive cheer – singing, dancing and enjoying themselves at Celtic Park.’

“We are very grateful to our Ambassador, Callum McGregor for taking time out to be with us today and making it a really magical experience for our special guests.”

Celtic FC Foundation’s 2023 Christmas Appeal aims to bring comfort and light up the lives of many who would otherwise struggle over the festive period.

This includes local families facing poverty, so they can enjoy the type of Christmas that many of us take for granted.

As well as pensioners, women and children in refuge, the homeless community and refugees and a host of others experiencing hardship.

Together, we can Light Up Someone’s Christmas this festive season.
