Dafabet donate Play on the Park places to Celtic FC Foundation

BANK Holiday Monday saw dreams come true at Paradise, as Celtic FC Foundation project participants and fundraisers were given the chance to grace the hallowed turf, as club sponsors Dafabet kindly donated places for their Play On The Park match.

Among those taking part were 20 of our project participants, representing a range of initiatives including Gateway to Health and Opportunity, Cashback and Ability Counts 18+.

In addition, Dafabet also rewarded supporters of the Foundation by providing 10 places in the match to fans who have raised funds across a variety of events such as the Celtic Sleep Outs, our annual Bucket Collection and the Great Scottish Run.

The players were given the star treatment, as they were invited into either the home or away dressing room to prepare ahead of kick-off and each was provided with their very own Celtic kit, complete with their name on the back of the shirt.

Friends and family watched on from the stands as the two teams played out an entertaining match, eventually ending in a 4-3 victory for those wearing the Hoops.

Gateway to Heath and Opportunity project participant, Natasha Smith, was presented with Dafabet’s coveted Player of the Match Award for the home side, while Liam Sweeney, a participant on our Ability Counts 18+ project, picked up the same award for the away team.

It was a truly wonderful occasion, which will live long in the memories of our project participants and fundraisers. Celtic FC Foundation would like to extend our thanks to Dafabet for providing this magnificent opportunity and for everything they do on a regular basis, to support our efforts.
