AS the champions look forward to lifting the SPFL trophy for the sixth time in a row, Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to announce that our annual Badge Day will take place at the final home game of the season.
In the lead up to the 12.30pm kick-off against Hearts on Sunday, May 21, our volunteers will be situated around the ground with Celtic FC Foundation collection buckets, selling our latest charity pin badges.
We are requesting a minimum donation of £2 per badge which, this year, portrays unity and respect as we celebrate our historic European Cup triumph in 1967.
The unique badge sees the Celtic FC Foundation crest featuring alongside the Lisbon Lions 50th Anniversary emblem.
Badge Day will once again be organised in collaboration with our Supporters’ Committee. Our volunteer spaces are almost full but we are currently looking for a small number of volunteers to be in place at all turnstile areas before the game.
As a small token of our appreciation, each volunteer on the day will be provided with a complimentary match ticket to watch the Hoops on trophy day. Remaining volunteer spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
To register as a volunteer, please email [email protected] or call 0141 551 4204.
Celtic FC Foundation are dedicated to upholding and promoting the founding principles and heritage of our football club. The proceeds from the Badge Day will help us continue to focus on our four priority areas; to improve Health, promote Equality, encourage Learning and tackle Poverty. Think HELP.
Mark Cameron, who chairs Celtic FC Foundation’s Supporters’ Committee, said: “Badge Day promises to be a truly fantastic occasion and it’s always a real highlight of Celtic FC Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
“Fans will get the chance to make an invaluable contribution to the Foundation as we celebrate the team’s success on trophy day. This year’s badges are also a great tribute to the Lisbon Lions in this very special year for the club.”
The Foundation’s Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, added: “I must extend a huge thank you to our Supporters’ Committee for their hard work and continued commitment throughout the season and in ensuring that Badge Day is such a great success.
“I’d also like to thank the Celtic support in advance for the way they have got behind everything we do here. They always support us whenever we ask and I know that they’ll be backing us in their numbers once again on Badge Day.”
